Mornings at La Reserva begin on the water. Before the breeze picks up, the lagoon is still enough to mirror the hills around it, and the mangroves are full of birds.

Some residents head out with a paddleboard or a kayak to explore the quiet channels. Others meet at the dock for a first run on the slalom course, where the calm water makes every pass feel effortless.

By mid-morning the day slows down again. There is time for breakfast by the water, a swim, or simply sitting on the dock and watching the light change.

Life here is guided less by schedules and more by the natural rhythms of El Tecuán, and the lagoon is where that rhythm is easiest to feel.
